I wanted to share a collection of comments from past and current clients.  Thank you all for taking the time to share  your feelings.  Your words have inspired me beyond comprehension.  Without you, I would not be here today.

Hi Rebecca! WE LOVE what we’ve seen so far! Seriously, you capture, spot-on each girl’s personality. As for the family shots…so far so good. Mike and I were talking about how busy, active and hard to catch the girls are, and you know what? The family photo wouldn’t be true to us if it didn’t capture that. In a few years, I’m sure everyone will look at the camera at the same time, not be squirmy, etc. But that’s not us now, and we are totally fine with that. It is a crazy, fun, (sometimes stressful) time with the littles right now, but it’s also precious and spontaneous. We don’t ever want to forget these years! :)

Rebecca, I just want to say thank-you for the most fun photo shoot ever!  You made the shoot so much fun, and so easy!  Even our small kids had a great time.  And the photos themselves are truly unique and amazing.  There are some that literally took my breath away and filled my eyes with tears.  In fact, you took a picture of my daughter and I that is now my favourite photo of all time.  You captured the essence of each us as individuals and the love that we share as a family, and for that, I can’t thank-you enough. – Tracy F

What can I say; Rebecca is your gal when it comes to capturing the most special moments in your life!  My family has spent two sessions with her and we will continue to come back for more and the dozens of breathtaking photos that fill my keepsake albums and Christmas cards! She makes it so easy and fun, especially for the little ones that are so hard to capture.  We have said goodbye to the plain old studios and backdrops and cannot wait for the new ideas, beautiful landscapes and fantastic editing that Rebecca has to offer! – Mary S

 

Rebecca was AMAZING!!  She came into our home and we immediately felt so comfortable with her.  She was open to our ideas and things we wanted but had great suggestions and ideas as well!  She took such awesome pictures of our beautiful Olivia and captured so many things that I would have never even thought to ask for!!  She is officially Olivia’s photographer and we plan on another session in a couple weeks and want to book her for her first birthday!!  So professional and so talented!!  At her actual party my entire family fell in love with you………you got in there, talked to most of them and captured natural smiles, and sweet & funny moments!  I was able to enjoy my baby’s first b-day party, and not worry about where my camera was or if someone got the critical b-day candle blowing out shots………..and you were able to get pictures of certain family members who HATE standing in front of the camera…………..they never would have done that for me! So glad you were there!  Since we are both scrapbooker I knew that you would take pictures that would tell the story of the day!  I love that about you, you take the pictures i wish i could take! If only I knew you 3 years ago when my son turned one…………..Thanks for the fabulous pictures, and thanks for being so wonderful! – Sara W

 

Rebecca has a great approach to photography.  She really just lets you sit back and interact with each other.  Then her natural instinct kicks in and she catches the best moments from behind the lens! There were moments she captured when I didn’t even know she was taking a picture! Even better, she gives you each picture in black/white and color! 
The newborn pictures we had her take of our baby girl turned out beautifully and I was so thrilled with them that I used them for birth announcements. I’ve used Rebecca a few times since then and plan to keep entrusting her with capturing our family on film for a long time to come! – Kelly B

 

Rebecca Brethauer is an exceptional photographer. Her joy for what she does definitely shines through. My best friend and beloved dog Daisy was sick and I wanted to capture her in an artistic form before she passed away. I was given Rebecca’s name as a referral from a friend and co-worker of mine. Her level of kindness, warmth and professionalism shined through. She made that moment perfect and gave me the best gift ever, the chance to spend the last day with my best friend in a relaxed environment. The end result of the pictures was breathtaking and I will always be truly grateful to Rebecca. She was a joy and easy to work with I can’t say enough good things about her – I would recommend her to anyone! Rebecca is always great to work with; she brings a sense of fun and lightness to the session, making everyone feel at ease. We greatly enjoyed all three of our sessions with Rebecca.  She captured our baby at just a few weeks old, and then again at 3 months and 6 months of age.  We love the style and the essence of the pictures.  She truly has a great eye for catching intimate moments in their most natural form.  Our daughter lights up when she sees Rebecca, and she just can’t wait to smile for her.  It’s always a fun, memorable event, and we are looking forward to our 1-year session with her later this year – Joe F

 

Working with Rebecca was a delight.  There’s nothing better than someone who is willing to meet you at your home and capture your family in their own element.  I really appreciated the lack of cheesy poses and faked smiles.  She was able to capture a 3 year old boy and a 4 year old dog at their best.  Sure, she asked them to do things, but it was never forced and thus what she got was the true sense of my little men.  The other thing I really appreciated was how Rebecca got down on ground level, literally lying in the dirt to get a shot that showed my boys at the best possible angle.  However, hands down, the best part of working with Rebecca is her eye.  That gal can see things threw her lens that the average person would miss.  She spent two hours with my family, in three different locations, and produced breathtaking shots that I didn’t even realize she was taking.  The way Rebecca views the world through her lens is the way that we should all see ourselves all the time….clean, simple, honest.  She was an absolute delight to work with and I look forward to many more sessions in the future. – Amy F

  

What I love about you, Miss Rebecca.  You’re laid back, creative, funny, honest, real, comfortable.  Jon Jon needed a little warming up and I remember being stressed a little and you were so laid back about it and it calmed me down immediately.  All 3 kids warmed up to you incredibly fast.  What I love about your photography it’s us…you captured a 10 year relationship, PERFECTLY in those photographs.  We didn’t talk in great length as to what I wanted, I trusted and you and you nailed it!  They are EXACTLY what I wanted and are now some of my most prized possessions.  I can’t thank you enough! – Sara B
