the wedding (part one)

There were so many pictures that it was hard to narrow down some of my favorites; that is why there will be more than one post regarding this happy, happy day.
Being the photographer at a wedding gets you a front row seat in almost every moment of that day. I get to sit with the bride while she gets ready; when she puts on her wedding dress; and the last few moments before she starts her new life. I get to see the groom as he counts down the minutes till he gets to see his bride. I am there when they get to share a private moment or two away from family and friends.
I had such a great time at this wedding. The couple was so fun to work with, even in the heat!!! My assistant kicked some butt (thanks Tracy) and even let one of the men borrow her sun glasses for some of the pictures (can you pick the man out in the ladies glasses, he pulled it off pretty well). And I also discovered I LOVE to work with men. These three had Tracy and I laughing and joking in no time. I could have followed them around all day.
Best wishes to the happy couple, may you have a lifetime full of love.

I love doing couple sessions. You get to try things that you can not try during other photo sessions. I love to see how couples interact; how they play off of each other. Sarah and Clark were so much fun to work with. It was freezing out the day we did our session, but by looking at these two you would never know it.
Look at the love they have, you can see it when they look at each other. Clark was a major trooper. When I asked him to so something, he just grinned and did what was asked; thanks Clark! He knows how to make his wife happy ~ the secret to a wonderful marriage. And Sarah, what can I say that could describe her? Sarah is such a warm happy person. When you are around her you can’t help but smile and feel good about yourself. Her parents did an amazing job raising a person that is so open and caring.
This couple has some sort of magic between them. I am thankful that I was able to capture it. Happy moving you guys.

This fun couple just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. What better way to celebrate this milestone than with some photos.
Their property is amazing; 5 acres of fun pockets of nature. We started out early in the morning and the sunlight was breathtaking. I had to stop several times and show them how the light was setting the mood. Afterwards I was sitting down withTammy looking over her scrap books; while I was doing this, Sean filled several bags with fresh fruit from their orchard and put in my car. How awesome is that!!!
By the way Sean, the first image that I posted is for you.
