This little girl melts my heart.

I did her 1 year session last year and could not wait to see how big she has gotten.  Last year she was full of smiles, this year she was a bit more serious but still just as cute.  The pig tails won me over; there is nothing more adorable than a little girl in pig tails.  And watch out when Addy is ready to run, she is one determine little girl and nothing will stand in her way.

She is about to become a big sister in a few months.  I know she will show her little sister the ropes.  Thank you Shannon and Ryan for letting me document this special time in your life.  You have some amazing changes happening and two very lucky little girls to call you parents.

This was a very special session for me.  I know Addison’s aunt; she in not only a very dear friend of mine but she is also Griffin’s teacher.  Addison is about to turn one and her mom and dad wanted to get some pictures of her and them together.  She was also going to have major surgery performed about a week later.   One of Addison’s legs was not fully developed when she was born.  Her doctors recommended that she have that leg amputated around her first birthday.

Since the surgery date was approaching, her parents wanted me to document what she looked like before her leg was removed.  I was deeply touched that they asked me to do this for them.  Addison was a bright light.  Her smile was contagious and her energy was inspiring.  The session was at her home.  I love to photograph people in their own elements.  I think  it makes them more relaxed and you get a better sense for who they are.

I want to thank you, Ryan and Shannon, for asking me to do this for you.  Thanks for letting me into your home and letting me do whatever I needed to get the shots I had wanted to try.  You have one very special little girl there; but I know you already knew that.
