meet ms. haley

Posted on October 29, 2009

Haley has a vivid personality.  The moment I met her I was having fun.  Her eyes sparkle with life; her mood is uplifting.  This girl has a bright future ahead of her.   As we talked we found out she knows my family up in Blaine, it’s such a small world.  I think this put both of us more at ease and we had a deeper connection.

She was up to anything I asked of her (I hope the water was not to cold) and I would kill for her hair!  This was my first high school senior session and I am hooked, I hope to do a lot more next year.  Haley, I wish you well on your next journey ~ you will go far.

pumpkin patch mini shoot #2

Posted on October 27, 2009

Here are some more pictures from the “mini” session I had out at the pumpkin patch.  Jen is a close friend and I always have a blast when I am with her family.  She was off chasing some little one while her husband Dale was with me and the kids.  As I was trying to take some pictures of  Amelia and Aiden, a very nice woman came up to Dale and asked if he wanted her to take a picture of him, his wife and the kids.  She assumed I was his wife; that made Dale and I laugh.

Mary is a friend that I have made through my photography.  She and Jen are close friends and I have become fast friends with her over the past year.  I would of never thought that taking pictures of people would develop into great friendships.  Becuase of this, I am so happy I decided to take this journey.  Thank’s Mary!

And if they did, could I pull this look off???

Working on a session and I fell in love with this image.  How is it possible to have so much fun taking and editing pictures?  I am one lucky girl.

This is one of my favorite families to work with.  They have spunk, a carefree attitude and tons of smiles.  Lucy and Madeline are super adorable.  I love their bottom front teeth and intense blue eyes.

Pink is one of my favorite colors, I have boys, so pink is very limited at my home.  I got my pink fill on this session.  The shoes, shirt, hats and sweaters all in various shades of pink.  My soul was happy to be working with this color.  I walked away with a grin; I sure hope this family did as well.

Maddox . 1 year

Posted on October 18, 2009

Maddox is one cool little dude.  He shows up with a mini mohawk and black Converse shoes ~ I think my heart melted.  He was absolutely adorable.  And man, this little one can move fast.  I don’t think he sat still very long ~ always on the go.

His big brother showed up towards the end of the session.  You can tell Maddox and Brayden have a strong bond.  These two brothers will be friends for life; what a precious gift to have.

The wind was blowing and the grey clouds where coming fast; gave me great colors to work with but left the 4 of us very cold.  Thanks you guys for staying a bit later, even though it was cold!

The fall is a time of vivid colors and amazing light.  You can feel the change the moment it happens.  The air gets colder, the trees began their process for winter, the night comes sooner.

This was one of  my last evening session till spring and I could not wait to get home to view the images.  Kate and her parents are so great to work with.  Her eyes are so crisp; I can’t  find the proper words describe them.  I could sit for hours taking pictures of her sweet face.  If the temp would of worked for me I would have done just that.  Her dress was the perfect color for the scenery and the tights – adorable.  I may not have been able to get any “feet” pictures, but I did manage to get some of her shoes.  A girl can never have to many pairs and I love to photograph them as well.

makes me want my own tutu

Posted on October 13, 2009

I did a mini session the other day with these two little ballerina’s.   I spotted them when I was walking through the park and it put a smile on my face.  It’s not every day that you see two of the sweetest girls in pink glittery tutu’s dancing around.  I live in a house full of boys; there are no tutu’s in my future – unless I buy one for myself.  But to be honest, who wants to see a 30 something lady in a pink tutu???

For now, I will let Page and Piper run around, dancing and giggling.

So far fall has been very, very good to us.  This time of year you never know what Mother Nature may do; rain = a rescheduled session.  Olivia’s session was on a perfect fall afternoon.  This little girl just steals my heart.  Love her big brown eyes; her easy going personality; and the bow!  Hello – how cute is she with it on???

Thanks Dom and Angel for a great afternoon.  I was so excited to see you guys again; can’t wait to see you up on the big screen!

tammy & sean . 10 yrs

Posted on October 3, 2009

This fun couple just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary.  What better way to celebrate this milestone than with some photos.

Their property is amazing; 5 acres of fun pockets of nature.  We started out early in the morning and the sunlight was breathtaking.  I had to stop several times and show them how the light was setting the mood.  Afterwards I was sitting down withTammy looking over her scrap books; while I was doing this, Sean filled several bags with fresh fruit from their orchard and put in my car.  How awesome is that!!!

By the way Sean, the first image that I posted is  for you.

Sometimes I like to share a bit about myself.

Last weekend I headed out of town with some of the greatest ladies I know.  Wanted to share a few of my favorite images.  I liked one so much that I posted in color and black and white.
