Kara and I have been friends since high school. Its been great how our lives have stayed in sync all these years. Our kids are the same ages and they have been friends since the day they were born.
Kara asked me if I could take Alanna’s 3 year pictures. I had been waiting to use a few spots in Lynden so was very excited and counted down the days till it was time. Her girls are so cute, very well behaved and they love me! That combination works so well. I took way to many feet shots - but with those cute shoes how could I not! Train tracks, rats and chocolate chip cookies made this session memorable. Thanks ladies.

sarah + joel = love

On my way to Sarah and Joel’s home, I texted a friend to let you know how excited I was to do this session. Sarah loves horses. She not only loves them but has two. The family doesn’t stop there, they also have two great dogs. I think animals photograph well and I was pumped to see what I could do.
Sarah and I chatted for a bit and she told me an amazing story. When she was younger her mom had a horse which Sarah loved. She came home one day from school to find out her mom had sold the horse. Fast forward several years later, Sarah was able to track the horse down and purchase it! I had goose bumps. The way she told the story with so much passion you knew how much she loved this horse.

mr. liam and family

When Liam’s mom told me he had rolls and spiky hair my heart jumped a bit. Babies with these two traits make my soul smile. I was excited to see this family; I did Liam’s new born pictures last winter and I couldn’t wait to see how the boys had changed.
There are 3 boys in this family. The two older ones are perfect angels. They did what they needed to do with out complaining and when it was time to take pictures with Liam, they held onto him and covered him in kisses. Whatever mom and dad are doing, keep doing it; in fact I think you can teach classes on how to raise well behaved children.

8 months . logan

I have to start out by saying that I did not alter this angels eyes in anyway – they are that brilliant!
This sweet family was up for anything for our session. Mom Katie had some great ideas and it was so exciting to be around someone full energy. Towards the end of our session Logan was ready to leave; poor little guy. But once he saw the swings his smiles were back. One of the many reasons I love kids; show them something new and they are good to go a while longer.

one perfect family . the kelln’s

I have known the Kelln’s for over 10 years. They are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet. I feel very fortunate to be able to call Nancy and Ken friends.
I was super excited when Nancy wanted me to take some pictures of her and her two amazingly beautiful girls. Looking at these ladies made me want a sister. I have to older brothers that I adore, but there is something about a sisters bond that goes beyond words. At one point during the session, fun drinks were made. This little twist made for a more relaxed feeling and had me giddy with joy.
The best part, afterwards we sat back on their deck and enjoyed the final days of summer.

six months . maggie

Maggie is such a doll.
This was my third session with her and her family and she never complained once. She had a good time trying to get anything and everything in her mouth while her parents and I tired to keep them out.
She brought her favorite ball along for the shoot. As soon as mom took it out of the bag Maggie’s face light up and her smiles grew big. This little lady loves her toys. Great conversation, a little walk, no rain, what a perfect session. Thanks you guys!

I am always amazed at the people I meet doing photography. I was looking forward to this session from the moment I booked it. This family gets together on the lake once a year during summer. I am envious of the memories they have of warms summers spent hanging out with cousins, digging in the sand, running in the grass.
On my drive around the lake it started to rain; not to much but enough to keep us on the porch instead of down by the water. Everyone was great. We ate imaginary cookies hot from the oven. We talked about new schools shoes. Kids make me happy! I can’t wait to sink my teeth into more of those mouth watering cookies – make me a fresh batch. Thanks Bethany, your family is welcoming and warm; it was such a pleasure working with you guys.

looking for some help

I have some ideas rolling around in my head that I really want to play with. I wish I would of had these ideas a few months ago while we had months of nice weather but throw in some rain and snow and it could work out.
I am looking for couples who would like to document their love. These sessions will require you to get really close to your loved one (yes, all clothing will stay on). I will ask you to pose (yes, pose) in a few fun/semi intimate ways.
If you are up for the challenge ,or just plain curious on what I would like you to do, please contact me. Session fee will still apply but I will be giving you some printed images to enjoy.
