newborn . iyla 6 days old

A few months ago I did a session for Kacee, she was pregnant with Iyla. We meet at her moms place and took most of the pictures in the sand and water of the bay.
Flash forward a a few months – I receive a phone call from Kacee. She just had her baby the day before and was still in the hospital recovering. I began to count down the days till I could come to their place and meet Ms. Iyla. I love taking pictures of newborns. They are so peaceful, sweet and pure. Kacee had Iyla dressed in the cutestlittle outfit – makes me want a girl so bad. After a bit of cuddle time, Iyla settled down into a good sleep and let me do my thing.
Thanks Kacee and Christian for letting me come into your home when you just came home from the hospital. I hope I was able to capture you little girl the way you envisioned.

little ballerina . ms. brooke

This was my third session with Ms. Brooke. Grandma called me up, she had an idea that she wanted to capture. Brooke’s mom studied ballet for most of her life and Grandma had the perfect outfit for little Brooke. I was more than happy to help out.
Brooke is a great little girl. She is happy; has lots of soft squishy rolls – a huge plus for me. Grandma and Grandpa were fantastic; they both served as my assistant one way or another on this shoot. Working with families again and again is a huge bonus to my photography business. Thanks you guys, looking forward to seeing you in December!

10 month session . + 2

I also had the pleasure to capture some images of his two older siblings. We ran around the playground; I love how children are full to the brim with energy. I feed off of their enthusiasm. Christoper was the bigger brother and so great with baby Matthew, you can tell this guy loves his baby brother. Samantha was all girl but she loved to run, jump and climb. She was able to keep up with Christopher no problem.
We had a very sweet moment towards the end of the session. Samantha ran off and came back with a punch of flowers she had picked for me. Hello – how cute is that!!!!???? Thanks Jennifer for meeting me half way, looking forward to working with you again.

I always have to have a foot shot!
The one below is so not a perfect shot but somthing about it I really like; life is not perfect so photos shouldn’t be either.

I love how you can see big brother in the top of the tube.

3 sisters . twilight session
Posted on August 25, 2009
I had the pleasure to work with these three gorgeous sisters (there was a 4th sister and she jumped in for a few as well). These ladies are stunning – they did not take one bad picture.
As we were talking I found out they are Twilight fans and anyone how knows me knows how crazyI am for Twilight. I literallyjumped up and down with delight when I found this information out. We discussed team Jacob and team Edward and headed into the woods for a more “Twilight” feeling.
Thank you Jackie, Vanecsa and Allie. You made this evening a blast and I hope when you make it back up to Washington that I get to see you again. New Moon will be out in November so we have a lot to discuss (go team Edward!).
Here are a few (ok, I posted A LOT but I couldn’t help it – it my business so I can post as many as I want) from the session.

This family vibrated love and joy. The moment I stepped into their home I was engulfed in the pride each person took for one another. I love sessions with people who are outgoing and full of energy – this family was high energy and full of life. One of the twin boys was not feeling well and every member of the family did their best to make him smile.
Even though most of this family live in other states, you can see the bond they have in these images. Thank you for letting me witness your dynamics.

fall sessions
Posted on August 14, 2009
I know it’s still the middle of summer but fall is just around the corner (it feels like fall today though).
I am now taking appointments for fall sessions in September and October. Washington has the most amazing colors in the fall. If you are interested in capturing the seasons vivid colors please send me an e-mail or give me a call and we can book your time. I am also thinking of doing some “mini” sessions at a local pumpkin patch – please contact me prior to October to set this up; days/times are limited.

newborn . brett 5 days old

Nothing is as pure as a new born. The soft skin still covered in fine hair. The tiny toes and fingers just starting to get used to life outside of the womb.
Every inch of a new born is perfect.
I want to thank Karen, Scott and big brother Craig for letting me coming into their home just days after baby Brett was born. It may have been a hot day, but I could of spent a week taking his picture. This is the reason I take photos; these images melt me. Take a look and tell me that a piece of you is not moved by a new born.
Karen, best wishes to you and your new family of 4!

family of 5 . the thomas’

I love meeting new people. I love when I get to meet friends of friends. The Thomas family and I have a friend in common – it’s like 7 degrees of separation (or whatever the saying is).
Our session was at the start of our heat wave. We meet at 9:00 am and it was already 70 degrees out – hot. I instantly fell in love with mom; her personality and adorable freckles took me in. Their two boys were gentle, easy going and didn’t mind me following them around. Hubby was happy to follow my direction and was easy to talk to. The fifth member of the family was very excited. It was comical to see Mojo bounce around taking everything in.
We pretty much had the park to ourselves which is a dream come true. No one to stumble over or wait to pass. They may have been melting in the heat, but you sure can not tell by these images. Thanks for the great time!
