kade . six months

It’s funny how life can come full circle.
A few months ago I was contacted by Alli’s sister. She found my blog and when she saw my picture she remembered me babysitting her, her sister and brother many years ago. Once she told me that, memories started coming back. I remember sitting in their living room watching tv. Running up the stairs, chasing the kids while they got ready for bed. Feeling horrible when brother broke his arm on my watch. Thinking was a wonderful home they had – perfect for raising kids.
Now, several years later (maybe 19 yrs) I was able to document the next generation in this family. Happiness filled me during this session. I never thought photography would connect me to people in my past.

summertime fun…
Posted on July 27, 2009
This afternoon we headed down to the beach for a quick shoot. I wanted to get a few with me and my boys but they had other ideas. We went with some friends and I was able to get the kids to sit long enough to snap a few.
I am hoping to get back before the summer is gone. The view’s are amazing and it’s fun to drive an old car out.

the wedding . ceremony…
Posted on July 24, 2009
It doesn’t take much for me to cry. A long distance phone commercial. The final episode of any show. A sappy song. I pretty much can cry at the drop of a hat.
While I will photographing the wedding ceremony, I really was not paying attention to what was going on. I was in the moment looking at different angles, trying to capture “the” shot. But once the bride and groom were announced as “mr and mrs.” and they kissed, my eyes became misty. Lame, but I love a good love story. I love to see people happy. I love to cry at weddings. And I guess if I am attending one or working one my emotions do not know the difference.
So if you hire me and I start to cry, just remember I can’t help it.
